In 2024, China’s nomination of “Spring Festival — Social Practices of the Chinese People in Celebration of the Traditional New Year” was officially inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This recognition underscores the profound cultural significance of the Spring Festival and its enduring role in fostering family bonds, social harmony, and shared traditions.

As a traditional Chinese New Year custom, dumplings symbolize wealth, family reunion, and good fortune.

The 2026 Year of the Horse celebration vividly demonstrated the charm of intangible cultural heritage while showcasing the beauty of multicultural integration. Through artistic expression, charitable initiatives, and shared traditions, the festival strengthened cross-cultural understanding and highlighted the inclusive spirit of the Lunar New Year.
